It begins with my travels, sometimes distant, sometimes a walk around the block
I take photographs and make paintings of things encountered along the way then layer and fragment the photographic and painted imagery digitally to create urban and natural landscapes playing with perspective and memory creating kaleidoscopic images that combine abstract and figurative elements
Graduating from the Royal College of Art in 2007 her work has most recently appeared in exhibitions including the solo shows: ‘The Reconstructed Romantic’ at James Freeman Gallery, London ‘In These Solitudes’, Le Salon Vert, Switzerland, ‘Watcher of the Skies’, Hospital Club, London, ‘Saudade’, Foyles, London, ‘Up a Hill Backwards’, Bearspace and at art fairs including Christie’s Multiplied, London Art Fair and Woolwich Contemporary Print Fair. Group shows include Young Masters Autumn Exhibition, Cynthia Corbett, London, BBA Photography Prize, Berlin, ‘Utopia’, Jan Kossen, New York, ‘Printing New Worlds’, Opere Scelte, Turin, Italy, Recent residencies include, Open Spaces, Gstaad, Switzerland, CPS, Lisbon, Portugal, Galeria dos Prazeres, Madeira, Pedra Sina Residency, Funchal, Madeira and she was artist in residence at No.72 John St. Kilkenny, Republic of Ireland Her work has also featured in Bloomberg New Contemporaries and the Royal Academy of Arts Summer Exhibition, London She has been awarded the Terrence Conran Foundation Award and the Tim Mara Prize.
